The Predator Red Band Trailer Is Full Of Swearing And Gore

The Predator

For a Predator film directed by Shane Black, the first trailer for The Predator didn’t look particularly… well, Shane Black-ish. But slowly each new one has showed off more of the writer-director’s signature style (snappy dialogue, splashy violence) – and now we have one final Red Band trailer that’s all-out Shane Black. Expect f-bombs galore, lashings of gore, and a swagger that promises a total blast from this franchise sequel-reboot. Be warned: this new trailer does seem to give a fair bit away, but might also get you far more excited for the film. Watch at your own discretion.

At the centre of this one is Boyd Holbrook’s Quinn McKenna, a soldier who survives an encounter with a certain dreadlocked alien hunter – before finding himself facing an even more threatening foe in the form of its upgraded, even more lethally-evolved relative. This trailer not only front-loads Black’s unique voice, but fleshes out its menagerie of unhinged mercenaries and commitment to some deliriously splattery violence.

Thankfully there isn’t a long wait for this one to arrive – in fact, it’s out in a matter of days. Follow the trio of red dots to your local multiplex on 12 September.
