Alfie Allen

Like a student who didn't turn up in time for school picture day, news of Alfie Allen's casting in The Predator came too late for him to be featured among Monday's cast line-up. But he's definitely in the film.

Shane Black, working from the script he wrote with Fred Dekker, started the cameras rolling on the latest Predator movie this week. The likes of Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes and Keegan-Michael Key are aboard as ex-Marines who have to team up with the likes of Olivia Munn's scientist to battle the dangerous alien creatures. Jacob Tremblay is aboard as Holbrook's son, who has an affinity with languages.

As for Allen, currently best known as Theon Greyjoy/Reek on Game Of Thrones, he'll be playing another of Holbrook's military theme. Let's hope no one has told him about the Predators' predilection for taking body parts as trophies; he's had enough of that trauma on Thrones.

The Predator will be in UK cinemas on 16 February next year, while Game Of Thrones returns this summer.
