It's the fundamental philosophy behind all great endeavours, the mantra that has built empires and seen our civilizations sweep across the globe: 'why do something when you can get some other mug to do it for you?' Such is the thinking behind the recently launched poster competition for the second Resident Evil film. Much like it's predecessor, Resident Evil: Apocalypse has put out the call for aspiring artistic types to mix up their palettes and put brush to virtual canvas in an effort to create a fetching design that will make up the film's official movie poster. As well as the fame and fortune that comes with such an honour, the winner will also get $2500 in readies and 25 tickets to see the finished film. The competition is up on the newly launched official site. It's only open to US residents (annoyingly) but if you happen to live on that side fo the pond then why not have a go? For those of us rendered ineligible, there is also a treasure trove of new images from the film to be found on the site, a selection of which can be seen below. On a side note, we'd like to give a hearty round of applause to whatever practical soul ported Sienna Guillory's wardrobe straight from the computer game. If Empire ever has to fight hordes of festering zombies, then a bustier and micro-skirt is definitely what we want to do it in.
