Posh Spice – Comic Genius?

Following hard on the heels of this week's announcement that the Beckhams are to present an award at the 2003 MTV Awards comes the ominous news that Posh Spice is planning a movie career of her own. Yes, the Sun newspaper is reporting (and therefore it must be true) that Posh has set up a series of meetings with Hollywood honchos on her trip to LA this week. According to the paper, a source close to the former spice girl says, 'She sees herself playing comedy or off-beat roles.' The self-same unnamed source then adds that David Beckham won't be joining his wife in her Hollywood bid, adding with no discernible hint of irony that, 'he has no intention of becoming a Richard Burton to her Elizabeth Taylor.' Empire Online is, for once, lost for words.
