McG, the man who brought us Charlie’s Angels, has recruited Matthew McConaughey for an untitled drama about a plane crash that killed almost an entire American Football team in 1970.
The plot focuses on the crash that brought tragedy to Marshall University in West Virginia. Jamie Linden wrote the script and shooting is scheduled on location in Virginia this spring.
“I've been looking to expand my horizons as a storyteller. This is more than a football movie,” McG told Variety. “This is a film about survival and belief in humanity.” What, and Charlie's Angels wasn't?
