A mere day or so ago, we got our first proper look at Pixar's next original film, Onward, via new images. The studio is following that with the film's initial teaser trailer, which debuted on TV in the States.
Onward is set in a suburban fantasy world populated by elves, trolls and sprites, where unicorns trawl through garbage cans like candy-striped raccoons. It offers the premise that magic was real but has long since been forgotten and replaced by modern technology, and finds two teenage brothers (voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt) whose father died when they were too young to remember him. They set out into this fantasy world to spend one last magical day with him.
Monsters University director Dan Scanlon wrote and worked on this one, which also features Julia Louis-Dreyfus as the brothers' mother and Octavia Spencer as a character we've yet to properly meet.
While Pixar has Toy Story 4 out on 21 June, we'll have to wait until 6 March next year to see this one.
