Deborah Haywood writes and directs the story of Iona (Lily Newmark) and Lyn (Joanna Scanlan), a mother and daughter who share a close bond. Moving to a new town, they're excited to get a fresh start, but things aren't destined to work out as well as they'd hope.
While Iona struggles with some familiar teenage issues (friends who are more frenemies than supporters), boys and making her own way in the world, Lyn faces her own challenges with making new friends. They both tell each other that things are going well, but they also know deep down that they're lying...
Praised for its inventive visuals and strong central performances, the film has enjoyed a successful festival run and will arrive in UK cinemas on 13 July.
