We really hope Rosamund Pike and Simon Pegg get along on the set of The World’s End, because it appears they’re going to be working together soon after that film wraps. Pike, along with Christopher Plummer, has just signed on to star alongside Pegg in Hector And The Search For Happiness.

The film was originally announced in May at Cannes, with Peter Chelsom co-writing and directing and Pegg attached to star. Chelsom worked with Tinker Lindsay to adapt Francois Lelord’s bestselling book about an unusual psychiatrist (Pegg) who becomes obsessed with finding the secret to happiness.

Pike is on to play the shrink’s girlfriend, while Plummer will be a UCLA professor who also happens to be big guru in Happiness Studies.

Pegg and Pike are, of course, getting set to shoot The World’s End next. Pike will also be seen alongside Tom Cruise in **Jack Reacher **(out December 26) while Plummer is at work on Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight.
