Because they clearly aren't busy enough with the wealth of film and TV projects they're already juggling as writers, directors and producers, Phil Lord and Chris Miller are setting up yet another. They'll work on murder mystery comedy series The Afterparty for Apple's TV service.
According to Variety, the series is described is set at a high school reunion afterparty that features a murder. Each of the eight episodes will feature a retelling of the same night told through a different character’s perspective, each with its own unique visual format and film genre to match the teller’s personality.
Miller created the show, and will run the show, while Lord is on to produce via their Lord Miller company. The pair is already developing Andy Weir adaptation Project Hail Mary for the big screen with Ryan Gosling involved to star, the Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse sequel and they have a new animated series called Hoops in the works at Netflix.
