Even when they don't direct, Phil Lord and Chris Miller have developed a knack for finding talented filmmakers and shepherding great films, including the recent The Mitchells Vs The Machines. They're now attached to produce a new live-action comedy pic called Strays.
Dan Perrault, who created Netflix's American Vandal spoof docuseries, wrote the script, which finds an abandoned dog teaming up with other strays to get revenge on his former owner.
And to add to the anticipation levels, Barb And Star Go To Vista Del Mar director Josh Greenbaum is on board to bring the story to life. With luck, this could be something special, and Universal – which snapped up the script from Lord and Miller's production team and Erik Feig's Picturestart company – clearly sees the possibilities.
