While Tom Holland's take on Peter Parker/Spider-Man hasn't been through many of the traditional touchstones of the web-slinger's origin story, he has already seen one person (Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark) discover his true identity. Now it's the turn of best pal Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalan). Check out the first clip from Spider-Man: Homecoming

The footage finds Peter returning home after a mission, being as careful as usual not to let anyone see him – only to discover Ned in his room, finishing off the Lego Death Star they've been building together. Quite why Pete's Spidey Sense didn't cue him in to his friend's visit is a mystery, though perhaps it has a blindspot for the opposite of threats.

It's a fun little scene, and is capped with some moments from the trailer and Peter having to excuse himself when duty calls. From the looks of what we've seen so far, Homecoming could be the film to put the solo Spider-adventures back on track, but we'll have to wait for the whole thing to know for sure.

With Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei and Zendaya also in the cast, Spider-Man: Homecoming is out on 7 July.
