James Gunn might be busy re-visiting the universe of those Guardians Of The Galaxy, but he still found time to dust off and polish a script he wrote a few years ago, and hand it to Wolf Creek's Greg McLean to direct. The result is The Belko Experiment, and the first trailer has arrived.

The movie is set at a facility of the non-profit Belko company in South America which is mysteriously sealed off at the beginning of a work day, and its employees ordered to either kill each other or be killed themselves thanks to explosive charges in their noggins. This starts an escalation of violence, where we discover the true nature of each and every Belko employee. John C. McGinley is socially awkward executive Wendell Dukes, a man who prefers to socialise with friends such as Barry Norris (Tony Goldwyn) and doesn’t enjoy being around his employees. Melonie Diaz plays Dany Wilkins, the new girl at the facility who is about to experience the worst employee orientation of all time. And of course, there is a spot for Michael Rooker, here as maintenance man Bud Melks.

Coming off a little like Office Space crossbred with Saw and Battle Royale, The Belko Experiment also features John Gallagher Jr., Mikaela Hoover and Abraham Benrubi. The movie will hit US screens on 17 March next year, but doesn't yet seem to have a UK release.
