Peaky Blinders: Steven Knight Still Planning A Film After The Series Concludes

After years of historical gang action, with the likes of Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy causing trouble on TV screens, Peaky Blinders will conclude with series six, which is now shooting. But if you're disappointed that Murphy and co. won't be back, take heart at the idea that creator Steven Knight intends to continue the story in other forms, and that one of them will be a movie.

Blinders has, of course, already spun off in a variety of ways, including books, clothing and a video game. Talking to Deadline, Knight confirmed, "Covid changed our plans. But I can say that my plan from the beginning was to end Peaky with a movie. That is what is going to happen."

While Knight had originally aimed to end the show after seven series, the world situation had changed all that, and the film will pick up that slack, with potential for some rehabilitation for Murphy's Tommy. Now that, we have to see...
