As his brother Chris takes the helm on** the second part of a massive franchise with The Twilight Saga: New Moon**, Paul Weitz must have been left twiddling his thumbs, thinking of a way to keep up. And it turns out that the third installment of the $820 million grossing Meet The Parents series might be just the ticket, as he negotiates a deal to bring Gaylord and Pam a baby in Little Fockers.

All the original stars - Robert De Niro (having realised **Righteous Kill **wasn't so right after all), Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Teri Polo and Blythe Danner - are signed on to take part, although whether Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand will join them is yet to be announced.

Weitz takes over from Pete Segal, and will go from this into his own passion project, the adaptation of Nick Flynn's Another Bullshit Night In Suck City, which is also set to star De Niro, with Casey Affleck. He has just wrapped his version of the Darren Shan vampire novel** Cirque du Freak** which should hit cinemas early in 2010

Along Came Polly and **I Love You Man **writer John Hamburg is redrafting the script orignially penned by Meet The Fockers producer Larry Stuckey. Production kicks off in July and is slated for a 2011 release.
