Paul Rudd and Zack Galifianakis - who will be seen on screen together in this year's Dinner For Schmucks - have signed on to a new comedy for Paramount called Will.
**Little Miss Sunshine **directors Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton are in charge of the film, which seems to blend Stranger Than Fiction and The Truman Show for the tale of an ordinary man (Rudd) who exists in a world where everyone's life and fate are decided and scribbled down by writers in Heaven.
The trouble starts when Rudd wakes up one day to discover that his own personal scribe (Galifianakis) has decided to ditch the job and he must go on with his life without a script, which prompts him to fulfill his hidden potential.
Sounds like it might get stuck on that high concept idea of discovering yourself that so many comedies seem to want to preach, but with the talented likes of Rudd and The Hangover's Galifianakis on board, we're more excited.
That, and the fact that the script is by Taking Woodstock's Demetri Martin, who has had more success with standup and comedy writing than acting to date.
