Wedding bells have rung for Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan, which might come as a surprise to their real-life significant others. But it's all in the service of a new dramadey called The Ideal Home, which sees them as a couple dealing with an unexpected arrival.
Rudd and Coogan (who last shared the screen in My Idiot Brother) will be a married couple going through issues because one of them (Coogan) is an OTT celebrity and the other (Rudd) is much happier living a quiet life together. It's a situation that isn't helped by the arrival of Coogan's character's grandson, a lad he never knew existed. But since the new arrival has nowhere else to turn, the couple reluctantly agree to the him him.
Andrew Fleming wrote the script for the film and is directing it, with the rights up for sale at the European Film Market.
Rudd will pop up as Scott Lang/Ant-Man in Captain America: Civil War, due here on April 29. Coogan will be heard in The Secret Life Of Pets (out June 24) and is working on new drama The Dinner.
