Almost a year ago, David Cronenberg was discussing his next project, thriller** Maps To The Stars**. Back then, he seemed convinced he would get his Cosmopolis star Robert Pattinson to take the lead and it appears his wish has come true: Pattinson is aboard alongside Julianne Moore, John Cusack and Sarah Gadon.

Written by Bruce Wagner, **Maps **is apparently a challenging, dark comic tale about two child actors who are ruined by Hollywood’s sleazier side. Oh, and there's a ghost story to boot. One sticking point for Cronenberg was finding the necessary funding for such a project, but the wheels are now in motion, and he’ll start shooting in July in Toronto and, in a first for the director, in Los Angeles as well.

With eOne handling sales and distribution, the company intends to introduce the movie at Cannes to drum up extra support before the cameras roll.

Recently Pattinson has been at work on David Michod’s futuristic Aussie drama The Rover. Moore will next be seen in The Seventh Son, **The English Teacher and Carrie. Cusack has Grand Piano, The Frozen Ground and The Butler **awaiting release and Gadon, who worked with Cronenberg on A Dangerous Method and Cosmopolis, is set to appear in Belle and An Enemy.
