It's a busy week for Patrick Wilson. Just yesterday, he replaced James Marsden on the adaptation of Stephen King's In The Tall Grass. Now, he's joining the cast of Roland Emmerich's Midway.
Woody Harrelson, Luke Evans and Mandy Moore are already in the cast for this one, which is set during the Battle of Midway during World War II. Considered a turning point in the Pacific Theater of operations, it occurred just six months after Pearl Harbor, in June 1942. America struck back against Japan at sea, inflicting devastating damage on the country's fleet.
Wilson will be Edwin Layton, the rear admiral in the U.S. Navy who was a key intelligence officer during WWII.
With a script by Wes Tooke, Emmerich will kick off shooting next month. As for Wilson, he'll next show up in Aquaman, out on 14 December.
