The Ant-Man production has already lost a director in Edgar Wright. Now it’ll be doing without three actors, as Patrick Wilson, Kevin Weisman and Matt Gerard are also leaving the film.

Before you start ascribing predictions of doom or conspiracy theories, all three appear to simply be caused by production changes. According to Deadline, Weisman and Gerard’s characters were a victim of script rewrites completed by current scribes Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari. As for Wilson, he had to drop out because the schedules shifted due to the delay and he has a conflict.

Peyton Reed is currently gearing up to direct the film, which still features Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly in the lead roles. We’d except to hear who might be replacing Wilson in the film soon enough. And there may well be more about the film announced when Marvel puts on its panel at the San-Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.
