Paramount has acquired the rights to graphic novel; "Agnes Quill: An Antholgy of Mystery" by Dave Roman.
The book follows the adventures of the title character as she inherits an estate from her late Grandfather... along with ability to see and communicate with the dead.
The film is to be a live action pic directed by Thor Freudenthal, who helmed next year's Hotel for Dogs, and will be adapted for the screen by Evan Stiliopolous, who most recently adapted another graphic novel, The Last Call, for Universal.
Expect a family friendly but slightly dark in tone film, along the lines of A Nightmare Before Christmas or the more recent Harry Potter entries.
