How Packed Will The Watchmen DVD Be?

If reports are to be believed, the Watchmen DVD should be one of the most packed and most fanboy friendly we've ever seen. A week or so back it was reported that Zack Snyder was definitely planning to shoot The Black Freighter, a small but significant comic book within the Watchmen story, for inclusion on the DVD. Now CHUD.com is reporting that Snyder is set to include another part of the Watchmen universe on the disc.

Fans of the book will know that spread through the chapters are snippets from Under The Hood, an autobiography written by the original Nite Owl (not to be confused with the new Nite Owl in the movie, played by Patrick Wilson) giving some history of many of the characters in the book and the demise of superhero kind. Well, CHUD says that Snyder is planning to shoot a mock TV news special profiling the superhero and promoting his book. To fit with the time period the one-hour special will be shot in '60s style.

This addition isn't essential for making sure Watchmen makes sense, but the inclusion of every part of the Watchmen universe after years of waiting for any kind of movie at all should be nectar to fans. Is it wrong to now more excited about the DVD release than the cinema release?
