Guillermo del Toro is famous for being able to juggle hundreds (well, lots) of projects in the works at any one time. Of course, given his workload, there are only so many of the films that he can actually direct, so more often than not he stays as a producer and tracks down talent to bring them to life. He’s now landed on Peaky Blinders director Otto Bathurst to make drug drama Midnight Delivery, which will star Kevin Costner{ =nofollow}.

Bathurst seems like a good pairing, given that the script is by Luther’s Neil Cross (who worked with del Toro on Mama). Midnight Delivery, which was first announced back in 2010, sees Costner as a father who must try to save his estranged daughter by trafficking a Colombian gang’s cocaine to London on a red-eye flight.

It’s the first shot at big screen worth for Bathurst, who has established himself as a go-to director on television with such series as Blinders, Criminal Justice, Black Mirror and Hustle.
