Well do we know how our female readers simply can't get enough of Orlando Bloom and, while this may be reason enough for all of our male readers to hate him, we would be remiss if we didn't keep you apprised of the star's latest project. Swapping his elven longbow for a cutlass and a pair of sea legs, Bloom joins Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush in kiddie-pleaser, Pirates of the Caribbean. Based on the Disneyland ride, the film will star Bloom as young Brit, Will Turner, who teams up with warm-hearted buccaneer, Captain Sparrow (Depp) to help save the governor's daughter from the clutches of Rush's evil pirate - the appropriately named Captain Blackheart. The film is unlikely to hold too much appeal for the Lord of the Rings crowd. But Bloom's presence alone should bring in a fair share of hormonal punters and, with Gore Verbinski at the helm and the writers behind Shrek hammering out the screenplay, the film might not be half-bad either.
