Olivia Thirlby Up For Reitman's latest

Olivia Thirlby recently signed on to alien invasion thriller The Darkest Hour, but after that (or possibly before, if it shoots ahead of the blockbuster) she’ll have to deal with something much worse than marauding ETs: Ashton Kutcher. Yes, she’s joined the cast of Ivan Reitman’s latest comedy, which was once known as Friends With Benefits.

The currently untitled pic (it had to lose that title as there is more than one film of that name doing the rounds) is a semi-reversal of When Harry Met Sally’s concept, which finds two no-strings sex partners (Kutcher and Natalie Portman) who suddenly discover they’re falling for each other. Which, admittedly, sounds a lot like another Kutcher film, A Lot Like Love, but presumably the devil's in the detail.

Thirlby, according to The Wrap, has locked in the role of Portman’s sister, while other recent cast arrivals include Greenburg’s Greta Gerwig, Kevin Kline and Ben Lawson, who comes to the film from that seething womb of future film talent better known as Neighbours.

This makes the actress' second job working for a Reitman after Juno. Wonder if she'll ever say who's better in interviews...
