Though it appeared to be moving towards a shoot back in February, with the hiring of Zoe Saldana for the lead role, action thriller Hummingbird (nothing to do with the UK title of the 2013 Jason Statham film), hasn't worked out like that. Now Olivia Munn will play the part.

Blame the 46 Avatar sequels James Cameron has in production for this one: Saldana's schedule is now full of Pandora time and so the Hummingbird slot was going vacant. Munn will play a female black ops assassin whose latest mark forces her to confront her true identity.

Swedish directing duo Markus Kryler and Fredrik Akerstrom are working on this one, with John McClain (no, not that one – it's a different spelling and he's a fictional character) on script duty. Assuming there are no further delays, the movie should be shooting soon.

Munn is playing Casey Bracket in The Predator, out on 3 August. She'll also be seen in Ocean's Eight, which is hitting UK screens on 22 June.
