Following on from the Spanish sounding **Hidalgo **and the actually Spanish Alatriste, Viggo Mortensen is in final talks to join the cast of the Spanish language flick Teresa.
Teresa centres on the life of 16th Century proto feminist mystic saint Teresa Of Avila, played here by Spanglish star Paz Vega. Mortensen will assay a cleric. The cast is rounded out by Victoria Abril — Spanish law dictates she has to be in every Spanish flick — and Lenor Watling.
If Mortensen signs on, Teresa will reunite the actor with writer-director Ray Loriga who previously worked with Mortensen on My Brother’s Gun. Filming begins in Spain on November 21.
