The reviews may not have been kind, and it didn't exactly meet the original film's box office, but clearly Mark Wahlberg was happy enough with Daddy's Home 2 filmmakers Sean Anders and John Morris to keep working with them on a new comedy. Octavia Spencer, Isabela Moner, Tig Notaro, Iliza Shlesinger and Tom Segura are all joining the cast of Instant Family.
Wahlberg and Rose Byrne will play a couple who decide to start a family and sign up for the foster care system, only to receive three kids who have no interest in being parented. Moner is on as one of the youngsters alongside Gustavo Qurioz and Julianna Gamiz.
Anders is on to direct as usual, working from a script he wrote with Morris, who will produce. There's no word on what Spencer or any of the other adults will be doing in the film, but the cameras will be rolling next month with Paramount targeting a February 2019 release.
