Derek Cianfrance’s latest Ryan Gosling pic T****he Place Beyond The Pines added cinemas and roared up the charts from 10th to sixth place, scoring $4.7 million along the way. White House action thriller Olympus Has Fallen, meanwhile, stayed in seventh, making $4.5 million. The new Evil Dead (which you can hear all about on last week’s Empire Podcast) was eighth with $4.1 million and Jurassic Park 3D took in $4 million in ninth.
