After five years, Ewan McGregor, one of the founding members of production company, Natural Nylon, has severed his ties with the company. Citing numerous commitments outside the company, McGregor opted to leave, only weeks after co-founder Damon Bryant also departed. Founded by McGregor, Bryant, Jude Law, Sadie Frost, Johnny Lee Miller and Sean Pertwee and producer Bradley Adams, Natural Nylon officially launched in 1997 in an effort to start a British, actor-based company in the same vein as Charlie Chaplin's United Artists. Natural Nylon has been responsible for projects including eXistenZ, Nora - starring McGregor as novelist James Joyce - and the upcoming To Kill a King. Having not starred in a production for the company since Nora, McGregor has seen his career blossom in other projects, including two Star Wars films. "He felt bad because he was so busy outside the company," his agent, Lindy King, told Screen Daily.
