Glee's complicated cheerleader Quinn Fabray*, aka actress Dianna Agron, has landed the romantic female lead in I Am Number Four, the teen sci-fi thriller that has DJ Caruso directing and Alex Pettyfer set to star.

The story has a group of aliens taking refuge on Earth and posing as high-school students after a fearsome enemy destroys their planet. Just one problem: that enemy's still out to get them, and now we're in the line of fire. Pettyfer plays the fourth of the aliens, hence the title, while Agron will be a fellow student dating the high school jock who falls for Four and becomes his confidante. Sharlto Copley's also aboard as his mentor, with Teresa Palmer as Number Six.

It's all based on the *still * unpublished book by James Frey and Jobie Hughes, with a script by Al Gough and Miles Millar, who know a thing or two about aliens in high school after working for so long on Smallville. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg are producing, so expect this to be BIG.

*Yes, it turns out there's such a thing as a complicated cheerleader - who knew?
