We’re now one day out from the full trailer for the new 007 film No Time To Die – and in the meantime, we’ve been served up a set of character posters. While some of them are familiar – hey, has anyone heard of this ‘James Bond’ guy? – there are some new faces in there. Literally, in the case of Rami Malek’s villain Safin, who so far has gone unseen in any of the early materials. Here, he’s revealed to be – yes, largely Rami Malek-shaped – but with scars on his cheek, a few flecks of grey in his hair, and, as with everyone in the Bond-verse, displaying some sartorial elegance. Take a look at him and the rest of the characters in the gallery below.

Speaking to Empire in a recent issue, Bond boss Barbara Broccoli teased how menacing Safin will be in the Spectre follow-up. “He is really the supervillain,” she said. “He’s the one that really gets under Bond’s skin. He’s a nasty piece of work.”

Elsewhere, there are posters of Daniel Craig’s returning Bond – swapping the tux for more practical combat trousers and some drawstring-knitwear, which ends up being way cooler than it sounds – as well as Lea Seydoux’s Madeleine Swann, and Ben Whishaw’s Q. We also have our first looks at two other new characters – Captain Marvel’s Lashana Lynch playing Nomi, who looks every bit the action heroine, and Knives Out star Ana De Armas, whose mysterious Paloma displays classic Bond girl glamour and a seeming penchant for massive weaponry.

The full trailer is due on Wednesday 4 December – and you can watch a brief initial teaser here. No Time To Die arrives in UK cinemas from 2 April 2020.
