That was quick. Okay, so we're assuming singer/songwriter Billie Eilish had been working on her theme for the latest Bond outing, No Time To Die for a while before last month's announcement. But here, roughly a month later, is the song in question. Take a listen...
It's got plenty of Bond feeling in it – check out those wailing horns in the background and the guitars – and Eilish gives it her own spin, with a haunting vocal performance that harkens back to the Adele stylings of Skyfall. (No bad thing, considering that she won an Oscar). Written by Eilish and her brother/regular collaborator Finneas O'Connell. It's perhaps a little low key, but it feels like it could be a grower.
No Time To Die sees Daniel Craig bowing out of the Bond role, and finds our hero at yet another crossroads. Seemingly retired from active duty, some heartbreaking new information and a request from old friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) drags Bond back into what will become his most personal and dangerous mission yet.
The film will be out in UK cinemas on 2 April.
