Unless you caught the low-budget Control, probably your only English-language experience of director Nimrod Antal was 2007's horror quickie Vacancy. Here then, is a look at the Hungarian's take on an action movie{
The plot as you'll see, involves new kid on the block Columbus Short getting conflicted about his security truck driver collegues' plans to hijack their own vehicle. On one hand it looks like standard stuff, but we're always pleased to see Reno, Dillon and Fisho, and it's great to see Ulrich back on the big screen after the cancellation of Jericho.
But maybe the most tantalising thing here is that Antal is directing Predators for Robert Rodriguez, and Armored is our first real look at his action chops and visual style. Rod is known for being hands-on as a producer, but the evidence here suggests that Antal should be able to hold his own down there in Mexico.
Armored, still minus its 'u', is scheduled for release here on February 5th.
