Susanne Bier is known as a writer-director who explores the human heart in her films, most recently with Love Is All You Need. She has Game Of Thrones’ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau lined up for her next project, **A Second Chance{ =nofollow}.

Bier wrote the script with regular collaborator Anders Thomas Jensen, and it will mark Coster-Waldau’s first Danish leading role in more than 10 years. According to Screen International’s report, there are no direct plot details yet, but sales company TrustNordisk issued a statement about the film ready for its launch at the American Film Market. “How far are decent human beings willing to go, when tragedy blurs the line between just and unjust? With A Second Chance, Susanne Bier and Anders Thomas Jensen have crafted another startling yet moving drama, about how easily we lose our grasp on justice, when we face the unthinkable and life as we know it hangs by a thread.”

Huh, that sounds a bit Prisoners. Shooting is currently planned to start in November on the Danish island of Funen.

Coster-Waldau is also in talks for Alex Proyas' Gods Of Egypt and has recently worked on Nick Cassavetes' The Other Woman with Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann. Bier has Serena, starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, due out next year.
