Nicole Kidman has been enjoying a healthy batch of projects with female filmmakers of late, and she has her eye on another. The actress is in talks to star in Karyn Kusama's Destroyer.
According to The Tracking Board, Kusama is focusing on setting this one up over any other developing projects and is keeping her fingers crossed that Kidman will make a deal to star. Not much is known about the movie itself, written by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi, but it's apparently a crime thriller set in Los Angeles. And it promises to do something different, as Kusama told The Observer back in March that it is a “personal epic – a beautiful character study of an incredible female that we haven’t seen in this genre before.” which sounds like it'll suit Kidman to a tee.
Kidman has a few projects ready to see screens, including How to Talk To Girls At Parties, The Upside, The Killing Of A Sacred Deer and, further in the future, Aquaman, which is shooting right now.
