It’s the movie 'star' team-up you didn’t know you desperately needed! Get ready for a match-up between two titans of thespianism as Nicolas Cage and Hayden Christensen are listed as part of the cast for a new action drama called Outcast.

According to The Wrap’s sources, the pair will be part of the $25 million film set in 10th century China. Little is known about the exact plot for now, but it apparently follows a warrior who is looking to redeem himself by rescuing a princess.

James Dormer is writing the script and Nick Powell a veteran of stunts and fights from the likes of Gladiator, The Last Samurai, Cinderella Man, Push and Resident Evil: Retribution is stepping up from second unit to first as director.

Arclight Films is backing the project and will be offering international rights to the movie at next month’s American Film Market. Assuming all the financing locks into place, the pic should be in front of cameras next year.

Cage has a couple of movies lined up, including David Gordon Green’s Joe and I Am Wrath for William Friedkin. He’ll also be heard in DreamWorks toon The Croods and pop up briefly as** Big Daddy** in Kick-Ass 2.

Christensen, meanwhile, is attached to conspiracy thriller The Diplomat.
