Nicolas Cage is a crazy dog. And not just because he named his son Kal-El. He’s signed on to star in a cop thriller called Crazy Dog.
Joe Ruben will direct the film, which follows a New York police officer who causes the death of a mate. Crushed by his guilt, he heads off on a self-destructive spree, but eventually seeks redemption.
Writers Nick Kazan (Enough) and Henry Bean (Basic Instinct 2) penned the script, so let’s hope it’s better than both their previous efforts.
And if you’re desperate for your Cage fix, he’ll next crop up as a voice in ‘toon comedy The Ant Bully and in person trapped beneath the rubble of Oliver Stone’s World Trade Center.
