And now here's Mrs Wiseman, in a new trailer for somewhat-delayed Antarctic thriller **Whiteout.
As reported previously, the film is produced by Joel Silver's Dark Castle Entertainment and directed by Dominic Sena, who made Gone in 60 Seconds and Swordfish. It involves the first ever murders in Antarctica, perpetrated by a mysterious, dark and unstoppable force. Maybe it's that lunatic penguin from Werner Herzog's Encounters at the End of the World.
It's based on a graphic novel published by indie house Oni Press and written by Greg Rucka, who has also worked for both Marvel and DC on Spider-Man and Batman, among others. In comic form it has a sequel, Whiteout: Melt, and a further instalment, Whiteout: Thaw, is planned for later in the year. Trilogy! Franchise!
The new trailer doesn't do much to dispel the suspicion that this is a mash up of The X-Files, 30 Days of Night, Pitch Black and The Thing. But the last trailer barely featured Beckinsale at all, and this one shows her in the shower, so it's all good.
