At this point in the proceedings, you've got to wonder whether Kate Beckinsale's vampire warrior Selene wouldn't enjoy a movie where she swaps fighting endless battles and instead enjoys a nice day at home, sipping a blood cocktail and catching up on Strictly. But she's a creature of combat, not comfort, and is back in action for the new Underworld: Blood Wars trailer.
The story this time around follows a familiar pattern: the war between the werewolf Lycans and Selene's fellow fang club members is growing ever bloodier. The Lycans have a new leader, Marius (Tobias Menzies), who is driving them to even stronger attacks and if that wasn't enough, Selene faces betrayal from within the vampire ranks.
To face these rising threats, Selene will need the help of David (Theo James, back from the last movie) and travels north to an ice wall that will makes it feel a little as though Underworld is crossing over with Game Of Thrones. There, Selene gains some new abilities that make an even more formidable fighter...
With Anna Foerster directing, Underworld: Blood Wars is out on 3 February.
