New Twin Peaks Teaser Features Some Familiar Faces

Twin Peaks

The teasers thus far for the new Twin Peaks have mostly kept to looking at the past and away from footage from the fresh batch of episodes. But with the series' return just a few short weeks away, that has changed – even if what we see remains spoiler free. Check out the new video below.

It's nice to see such familiar faces as Big Ed Hurley (Everett McGill), Carl Rodd (Harry Dean Stanton), Sarah Palmer (Grace Zabriskie), Deputy Andy Brennan (Harry Goaz), Deputy Tommy "Hawk" Hill (Michael Horse), and, of course, FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper, played as always by the redoubtable Kyle MacLachlan. Though given the events of the original two seasons, we're surprised to see a couple of them still around...

With co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost back on script duty and the director handling all 18 episodes, the story will pick up 25 years since we left the characters, with the show featuring many of the originals among a sprawling, 217-person cast. So don't think you've met them all by a long shot.

The first two episodes of the show hit the States on 21 May. For the UK, we'll be able to watch it at the same time (so 2am on 22 May) on Sky Atlantic, with a repeat on 23 May at 9pm. If you'll be staying up for the simulcast, you might want to brew some damn fine coffee.
