Three months on from Comic-Con and the first trailer, and with two months to go until it's finally unsaddled, here's a brand new promo for Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight. Nobody claimed it was going to be easy, but nobody said it's s'posed to be this hard neither.
QT’s new baby is set roughly a decade after the American Civil War and finds an eclectic group of law keepers, outlaws, mercenaries, bounty hunters and fugitives holed up in a stagecoach waypoint when a massive snowstorm hits the area. Soon, the two men transporting a female prisoner across the country start to wonder if they’ll actually make it out alive...
The main cast includes a blend of Tarantino old hands and those new to his work, with Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Demián Bichir and Michael Madsen on the roster alongside James Parks and Zoe Bell.
With the film shot in Ultra Panavision 65mm to be screened in glorious 70mm (where available - those lucky viewers of the 'Roadshow Cut' will also get an extra 12 minutes), this new glimpse is further evidence of the immense scope of Tarantino's snowy vistas and cramped lodging house/saloon. And the cast is happy to chew on his typically hard-nosed dialogue, promising plenty of tough confrontations in their future.
The Hateful Eight is currently scheduled to arrive in UK cinemas on January 8 next year.
