The initial images and first teaser for The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina promised something much darker and spookier than the 1990s TV show (even if we do miss the chatty version of Salem the cat.) Now here comes the full trailer, which ramps that feeling up even further.
Netflix has created a new series with the team behind neon-lit Archie comics adaptation Riverdale, based on the 2014 comic book reinvention of the character.
Playing the teenage witch this time is Kiernan Shipka, with the synopsis teasing that on Sabrina’s not-so-sweet 16th birthday, she’ll have to "choose between the path of light and the path of night". Something tells us she'll pick night, but on her own terms. It can be tough when you're half mortal and half witch...
The likes of Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Richard Coyle, Miranda Otto and Lucy Davis populate the cast, with one highlight moment from the new trailer being Otto's Zelda Spellman announcing that she's killed sister Hilda (Davis) and buried her. Cue Hilda rising from the grave, and we really hope she's had lessons on how to act like the undead...
Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina will haunt Netflix starting 26 October.
