A tip of the Cap, sorry, cap, to MTV News for their snaps of both the X-Men: First Class team and Captain America himself, both of which you can see below.

In the first we can see the X-Men team staring into some sort of lined box. What's in the box, we don't know, but we're guessing... their new outfits. Or, judging by James McAvoy's eyebrow and Caleb Landry Jones's face, something that smells pretty damn funky.

Either way, it looks good – Jennifer Lawrence's Mystiqued face looks espeially encouraging – and plus, you know, Michael Fassbender. He's so great and stuff and junk.

Then there's the Cap being the Cap, carrying a much more scuffed shield that we've seen before – that must be a bugger for the continuity control team, and no mistake – and looking ever-so-slightly scared. No, it can't be. It just can't. It's a... shadow or something. Yeah, that's it.

X-Men: First Class will be in a cinema near you from June 2, and Captain America: The First Avenger is out on July 29.
