Well, here's a thing: Paul W. S. Anderson's Three Musketeers, and hanger on D'Artagnan, look just like they oughta. The first official still from the film shows the swashbuckling quartet just hangin' out, lookin' all dashing.
From left to right, that's Matthew Mcfadyen as Athos, the quiet, brooding leader of the trio; Percy Jackson's Logan Lerman as would-be musketeer D'Artagnan, looking impossibly young and naive next to the others (no bad thing, that); Ray Stevenson as the hard drinking, hard living Porthos and Luke Evans as ladies' man / man of God Aramis.
Now of course this is only a still, and the proof will be in the actual, y'know, storytelling. But the casting here looks spot on, and is mildly encouraging. Not pictured are Milla Jovovich as Milady, Mads Mikkelsen's Rochefort and Orlando Bloom's Duke of Buckingham. The results are due to hit next October 14. In 3D, inevitably.
