When our Spider-Man No Way Home cover was launched and we released some new pictures from the upcoming MCU movie, lots of people assumed we somehow also had the next trailer sequestered away in a vault and were scheming to keep it from them. Or that we had kidnapped the pets of several Sony and Marvel folk and were holding them for ransom so that the trailer didn't see the light of day (or the web). Neither of those were true (you can't prove it, at least), but we do at least know that the next trailer for the film will be released on Tuesday, as foretold by the coming of a new poster.
This latest look at the movie sees Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange getting in on the action, key as he is to this new story featuring Tom Holland's Peter Parker. The multiverse is the big draw this time, with appearances from Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus, among other characters from other cine-iterations of the Spider-legacy. Will the new trailer prove the rumours about other Spideys true? We'll guess not at this point, but Sony is certainly going all-out with the promotion of it, holding a fan event in LA to screen it initially. Expect it to arrive online shortly after.
Also pertinent: news that the UK will see the film two days before the US, on 15 December. WITNESS OUR DARK SORCERY AT ACHIEVING SUCH THI... Sorry, again, we're being informed by our legal team that we have no dark sorcery, and that fizzy feeling is just the result of drinking too much cola again.
