Born online instead of from actual urban legends, the creepy, slinky Slender Man has taken the next step on its pop culture quest: a movie. The latest trailer for the slightly delayed film has hit the 'net.
Directed by Sylvain White, the story finds four high school young women looking to debunk the legend when one of their number goes missing. But guess what? Well, if you didn't guess that he turns out to be real, you've never watched a horror movie.
Coming across like a latter day Candyman, the plot sees the terrifying apparition snatching some of his victims and driving others crazy. Joey King, Julia Goldani-Telles and Javier Botet (bringing his usual scare power to the title character) are part of the cast, and the movie should finally land here on 24 August.
