We had the first official still yesterday, and now here's the first set of posters for Paul Feig's new Ghostbusters. And they're a quartet of the character variety, obliquely showcasing Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon against a dark background. Name-tags and ecto-collecting equipment are also proudly displayed, the better for the bustin' and the fellin' good.
First up is Wiig's Erin Gilbert, who Feig describes as "Partical physicist, academic firebrand and spectral warrior":
Then we've got McCarthy's scientist Abby Yates, "paranormal researcher, supernatural scientist and entity tracker":
Followed by Jones' Patty Tolan, "a ghost tracker, municipal historian and metaphysical commando":
And finally there's McKinnon's Jillan Holtzman, "nuclear engineer, munitions expert and proton wrangler":
Chris Hemsworth, Michael Kenneth Williams, Andy Garcia, Matt Walsh and Neil Casey also all part of the cast and we can expect cameos from original Ghostbusters stars Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver.
Given the level of activity so far this week, we wouldn't be surprised to see a trailer before Christmas. We’ll have to wait and see on that front, but Feig’s latest will be out here on July 15.
