Cinematically, Wes Craven's Scream franchise has so far spawned four movies and a spin-off TV series that follows the films' canon. But now, according to Bloody Disgusting, Spyglass Media Group is looking to make a new movie.
Craven's 1996 original, written by Kevin Williamson, went meta on the tropes of the horror movie, with the following films amping up the takes on the genre with the likes of Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard and Jamie Kennedy all part of the cast.
Quite what the new entry will encompass remains to be seen – Craven, of course died in 2015 and Williamson is not currently involved. The new Scream follows on from Spyglass planning a new Hellraiser film.
