The second video blog for production on Scott Pilgrim Vs The World has gone online at the movie's official site, giving us a slightly dark look at the first day of shooting on the film.
All in all, if we didn't know and trust Edgar, we'd be inclined to believe Michael Cera's assessment that things are going "poorly", what with the director running around concerning himself with sucking his belly in whenever the camera's on him, and his cast apparently being encouraged to play Zelda both on- and off-screen.
But no, we kid. The film, based on the indescribably ace comics by Bryan Lee O'Malley, is the story of twentysomething Scott's (Cera) attempts to win the heart of Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) by fighting off her seven evil exes in fantastical action sequences. It's funny, heartwarming without being cutesy and strangely realistic, given the weird fight scenes.
We'll be keeping a close eye on this one (and indeed there's more on it in the new issue of Empire) so keep eyes peeled for more as we get it.
