If there's one thing we know about the Predators, it's that the hunt-happy creatures spend a lot of time around skulls. That idea is being pushed to the forefront for a new poster from The Predator, which debuted Thursday at the San Diego Comic-Con.
That's certainly a stylish, striking image, with a Predator head built out of bony bits. It was all in service of the new movie's panel, where co-writer/director Shane Black and some of his cast including Sterling K. Brown, Olivia Munn, Thomas Jane, Keegan-Michael Key and Trevante Rhodes.
Introducing a clip (with a little help from star Boyd Holbrook, who couldn't make it but sent a video greeting) and then a sizzle reel of footage from the film, Black explained what he wanted from his return to the world of extraterrestrial threats and the humans who must deal with them this time.
“I want to make these guys relatable as possible, and the movie is filled with great character actors doing what they do best. It’s my job to get out of the f******g way."
The footage – yet to hit the web, and unlikely to do so – focused on the humour and the action/violence of the film, which will be in UK cinemas from 13 September. The latest trailer is lurking below, and you can learn much more about the movie in the new issue of Empire.
